Asian yogasana believes that with the help of sports; global brotherhood, unity and peace can be stablished across the globe. Friendship universally is attainable with the help of various sports events. Yogasana adds value to this concept and theory immensely. The basic purpose of these asanas is to reach the highest level of peace known as Samadhi. Artistic Yogasana competition

Along with ten different yogasanas in five different categories, dance and music is also a part of this competition.

In this competition, the duration or the holding time of any yogasana is only between 5 to 7 seconds. The athlete performs these 10 Yogasanas while dancing to music. Each yogasana is judged on 10 marks. Hence the total becomes 100 marks which are allotted to yogasana postures. 40 marks are alloted to dance steps, music, theme, character, costume, facial expressions etc. Under the artistry judge, 10 marks are allotted to the holding time of the yogasana postures. All these scores combined together, the event is judged out of 150 marks for each presentation. The total time of presentation is 2.30 to 3 minutes.

This is just the beginning. As we grow and as the athletes learn the techniques, we wish to extend the events to Artistic Pair, Artistic Group and Rhythmic Pair as well.
